POLICE were called to an accident in Tyldesley where a car reportedly rolled over its owners foot.
Residents reported hearing police sirens around Hough Lane and Manchester Road at around 10pm on Thursday, October 17.
Witnesses also reported that the police, fire service and ambulance was present at the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that the incident was an injury caused after a car had broken down.
With the force called around 10.20pm, the spokesperson said that the broken down car rolled over the owner’s foot, and no serious injuries were reported.
One witness posted on social media that the owner had become trapped under the vehicle after it rolled over his foot.
There were also concerns about the vehicles position in the road, the witness added.
The emergency services quickly stood down after it was realised that the incident was not as serious as first feared.
