POLICE have confirmed that a -year-old woman has been arrested and charged after a series of reported shoplifting incidents.
With Parsonage retail park identified as a hotspot for shoplifting, Greater Manchester Police said it has placed a laser focus on the area over the past year.
Using a "three strand approach" to tackle retail crime; focusing on building relationships between retail businesses, improving security measures, and targeting repeat offenders, officers said they are encouraged by the signs that their "blueprint" for tackling retail crime in Leigh is working.
Following an investigation into further shoplifting incidents along Parsonage Way last month, officers have identified individuals suspected of committing the offences.
