A LEIGH band will be supporting Robbie Williams at two Manchester shows.
Lottery Winners will be opening for the pop star on June 10 and June 11 at Co-op Live.
This forms part of Robbie's EU and UK stadium and arena tour in 2025.
This opportunity arose after Robbie was impressed by their hit single "You Again," featuring Reverend & The Makers' Jon McClure, which made the BBC Radio 2 A-List.
Frontman Thom Rylance explained how their connection with Robbie began: "He heard a tune and reached out and we bonded.
"Making each other laugh, and discussing life with ADHD.
"Now, we have pillow talk almost nightly on FaceTime.
"He's become a friend and a mentor.
"He's always been one of my idols."
Thom was particularly thrilled with the chance to tour with Robbie, stating: "This tour means so much to us.
"It's absolutely massive – look at the venues.
"We’re going to throw everything we have at it and it’s going to turn us into superstars in our own right.
"We’re very grateful to Robbie for the opportunity."
The band, consisting of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Thom, bassist and vocalist Katie Lloyd, guitarist Rob Lally, and drummer Joe Singleton, will also be performing at other huge venues including the Emirates Stadium in London, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and Bath’s Royal Crescent.
Their new single "UFO," inspired by Thom's feelings of being an outsider, was released to mark this significant milestone.
Reflecting on his past, Thom said: "The only time I don't feel an alien is when I'm on stage.
"UFO is about how I felt when I’d go to a new school after I’d been expelled.
"My UFO was my bedroom, playing guitar, as that was how I’d get into outer space: my weird zone of playing guitar and writing songs."
The band's upcoming album "KOKO," set to be released on February 21, 2025, will feature their new single "UFO" as well as collaborations with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Rick Witter of Shed Seven, and Frank Turner.
They will also be rounding off this year with a trio of Manchester Academy dates in December.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.
