A SUSPECT has been named by police in a statement confirming that he has been charged with offences.

Cheshire Police says that a Glazebury man has been charged with two child sex offences.

These are attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child and attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.

Adam Gill appeared before Chester Magistrates’ Court on Monday to make a first appearance in relation to the allegations.

District judge John McGarva sent the case to Liverpool Crown Court for a hearing next month, with Gill remanded in custody.

The statement reads: “A man has been charged in connection with sex offences in Warrington.

“Adam Gill was arrested at an address in Glazebury, at around 3pm on Sunday, November 24.

“Following questioning, the 47-year-old was charged with attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

“He has been remanded in police custody and is set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, December 23.”
