A SPACE for people to get involved in board games and role play has developed into a real community for people of all backgrounds.

Launching inside Leigh Spinners Mill earlier this year, The Table Top Tavern began as a hobby for Leyther Anton Lloyd, but has developed into something much more.

With the Park Lane Mill now home to an array of creative businesses and organisations, Table Top Tavern offers a cosy and welcoming space for people to get involved in various board and card games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, Pokemon, and many more.

Welcoming people from all backgrounds, there is also space to relax with a selection of refreshments and snacks at Table Top.

"People have been really interested in what we have to offer, and they can play anything they want for up to three hours, so it gives them time and space to play with people with similar interests.

"We have people coming from all walks of life and it does feel like we're building a really good community, where people are feeling more comfortable in themselves and helping each other out.

"It's been really rewarding since we started and it's great to be a part of the Mill, because everyone helps each other out here; it has the feeling of an old school high street."
