Astley & Tyldesley were up against it for the U-10 British Club Championships at Kesgrave, Suffolk, on Saturday.
Unluckily for A & T, the draw saw them pitched against the two top teams in the competition, and once again A & T's youngsters were eliminated at the semi-final stage.
Adam Phillips rode to a great maximum score, for the second successive year, whilst Adam Thompson received praise for continuing after taking a heavy fall in the match. Ipswich went on to pip the new Bretford club for the title.
