ASTLEY and Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club travelled to Stoke to take on the unbeaten Northern League leaders on Sunday.
The meeting was ridden in appalling conditions throughout, as heavy rain fell for most of the afternoon.
Stoke ran out 120-59 winners in the Division One match.
Piotr Jamroszczyk made his debut for A&T and he was in the thick of the action throughout, with some fast starting, and was A&T's only race winner in heat 14.
A&T’s youngsters and newcomers teamed up to take a 63-57 win over Stoke in the Combination (second team) match.
Ben Dickenson, Will Evans and Luke Jamson lost only once each.
