A & T had riders competing in this weekend's British Individual Championships in the Midlands.
Racing in the under 10 Individual Championships at Bretford, near Rugby, 8-year-old Adam Turnbull put in a great display to narrowly miss out on qualifying for the final. Adam Watson however, did qualify for the final, where he scored a creditable 13 points to finish in eighth place, as Exeter's James Robinson won the title. Racing in the Ladies Individual Championships, Laura Watson qualified for the final, where she scored six 6 points. Leicester's Lucy Whitehead regained the Ladies title, whilst her teammate Amy Crouch retained the under 16 girls title.
Ben Dickenson was in action at Birmingham in the Senior Individual Championships and he put in a great showing to come through a tough qualifying round to reach the semi-final.
Ben then scored six points in the semi-final and was eliminated.
Stockport hosted the third and last of the Manchester League's Individual Finals on Wednesday evening, in its 60th anniversary season. Stockport's Terry Norman took the trophy with a 16 points maximum score, whilst A & T's Ben Dickenson put in a good performance to score 12 points and finish in fourth place.
