LEIGH Genesis Juniors had a busy weekend with the majority of sides back in action after the recent bad weather.

Under Eights Generation lost 4-2 at home to FC Sharples, while Under Eights Formation lost 6-3 away to Soccer 4 Kids. Under Eights Rays secured a 5-2 home win against Appley Bridge.

Under Nines Originals beat Galaxy Under Nines 5-2 and Under Nines Reactors defeated Hindley Juniors 8-1. Under Nines Energy lost 19-1 to Leigh United.

Under 10s Atomic drew 1-1 with Highfield Grange Rangers.

Genesis Juniors Under 11s beat Bolton Ambassadors 4-0, while Youth Under 11s lost 5-2 at home to Standish Tigers.

Under 12s Alpha lost 3-2 at Astley Bridge Wanderers and Under 12s Creation fell 6-2 to Turton Lads.

Youth Under 12s and Under 12s Blues ran out 1-0 and 5-1 winners away to Hindley Junior Athletic and Hindley Junior Bears respectively.

Under 13s lost 4-1 at home to Ashton Athletic, while Under 14s Juniors beat Oxford Grove 2-1 and Under 14s Youth drew 0-0 at home to Blackrod Town.

Under 15s Scorpions drew 2-2 at home to Ince Rose Bridge while Under 16s Juniors won 3-1 at Hindley Town.

Under 17s Juniors lost 2-1 at Billinge Juniors Athletic while Under 17s Youth beat Billinge Junior Clarets 4-1.

Under 19s Juniors were edged out 4-3 at Flixton Juniors.

There were mixed results for the girls’ teams, with the under 11s beating Golborne 8-0 but the under 12s losing 4-1 at home to Hazel Grove.
