THE rhythm of festival fun with top entertainment is heading Tyldesley's way.
On Saturday, June 18 the Cadence Festival will be a break from the more traditional small town carnival with talented artists on stage at the town's rugby club and local pubs buzzing with music to suit all tastes plus brass band and at the heart of town the market square will echo to the sound of a brass band and poetry.
As a curtain raiser on Friday, June 17 the festival taster will cut loose with Northern Soul and Glamrock events plus community events organised by Nowt2do project and The Wall Street Group.
Headline acts include The Lottery Winners and The Paris Riots.
The Lottery Winners were formed in 2008 and last summer the band won the national competition, Live and Unsigned, ahead of 15,000 other entrants.
The band has played at many prestigious venues, such as the 02 Arena in London and The Atlantico in Rome. Now its Tyldesley 'here we come'.
Musically, The Lottery Winners are a harmonious quartet that derive their sound from the likes of The Beach Boys and The Smiths, creating a jumble of Indie, Surf and Pop.
Paris Riots are playing the Benicassium festival in Spain and are famed for their good old- The band's riot weapon of choice is good old rock 'n' roll, delivered at mega decibels. Definitely a wake-up call!
Adding more flavour to the festival are: Tom Hingley (ex Inspiral Carpets), Rawcuss, The Deadtime Philharmonic, Mad Hat Ska, The Worry Beads, Russel Winstanley, Danny Mon, Coup De Ville and the Fred Longworth Battle of the Bands winners.

Sat, June 18: Main stage at Tyldesley RUFC featuring The Lottery Winners, The Paris Riots, The Deadtime Philharmonic, Jeramiah Ferrari, Coup De Ville, A Me B, Everyday Goldfish.
Sat, June 18: Brass Band and Words in Motion on the Market Square; Worry Beads, Danny Mahon, Rawcuss, Panda Panda, Small Town at The Black Horse on Elliott Street; at The Railway, Wareing Street, acoustic stage with Tom Hingley, John Neesom, Noel Fraser, Danny Mahon and Gaz Grady; at The Half Moon Inn glam rock band Glamorize.
