MEMORIES of the mid 1960s came flooding back for ex-pupils of Hesketh Fletcher School who met last Saturday at a gathering in The Royal, Wigan Road, Atherton.
Some 30 or so old schoolmates from 1966/7 met including those who had travelled from as far away as Cardiff, Anglesey, Edinburgh and Yorkshire for the reunion.
"It was a fabulous night with a hot supper, a DJ who played period music and a great atmosphere. It was so good we may do it again in 10 years time or maybe next year," said organiser Jackie Shackleton (Gregory).
