A WOMEN’S Institute branch is hoping to attract more members.
Atherton WI meets every second Thursday of the month at Richards Parish Centre, Crabtree Lane, 7.30pm.
The WI is the largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK with 212,000 members in nearly 7,000 branches.
It offers all kinds of opportunities to all kinds of women, such as catching up with friends, providing a route to learning new skills and campaigning.
Atherton WI’s next meeting will be on March 12 when Harry Campbell will be talking on the Manchester IRA Bombing of 1996.
All women are welcome.
