SUPPORTERS of a Leigh park are being invited to a meeting to discuss plans to celebrate its centenary.
The Lilford Park Centenary Celebrations will take place in three months and the meeting will discuss the practical issues and opportunities to make the event a success.
The meeting is at the Turnpike meeting room in Leigh Library on tonight between 7pm and 9pm.
Friends of Lilford Park chairman, David Sykes said: “We need practical suggestions, experienced comment and if possible pledges of individual and group assistance for the event weekend. It is intended to be a celebration of local heritage and to commemorate sacrifices made.”
