ASTLEY & Tyldesley club members have enjoyed a busy weekend of cycle speedway racing action.
A&T took a fine third place in Sunday's 3rd round of the Northern Fours League at Heckmondwike. Grand Veteran Steve Harris led the way, winning his first three races, with excellent support from youngsters John White, Charlie Burgess and Duncan Whalley. Bury took the team win, with Hull pipping A&T in the last race to take 2nd place by a point.

A&T finished in fourth place in the Northern Junior League match. John White rode to a 16 points maximum in the u-19 category, with Duncan Whalley's 14 points sufficient for him to win the u-16 category. Alex Lawless, Elijah Rechembei and Owen Simcock all turned in improved performances in their respective categories.

Astley & Tyldesley took the team win in the 2nd North & Scotland Regional Round of the British Youth & Junior League series at Gin Pit on Saturday. Frank White raced unbeaten in the u-12 category, with Duncan Whalley and John White top scoring in the u-16 and u-18 categories respectively. All three riders went on to win their age category Grand Prix Finals.
