LEIGH Leopards have banned some supporters following an extensive investigation into the pyrotechnics incident at Wigan Warriors for the Betfred Playoff Semi Final on 5 October.

As a result of incidents and complaints from that evening, 10 people were identified and interviewed.

And as a result of the investigation seven people have now been issued a suspended six-month ban.

In addition, two people were issued with a full one-year ban and one person has been hit with an indefinite ban.

The statement adds: "The club would like to remind supporters that pyrotechnics are prohibited in stadiums and are against the stadium, club and RFL polices.

"For the safety of all, we remind supporters that Leigh Leopards will not tolerate the use of any pyrotechnics at fixtures both at home or away and we will impose sanctions for a breach of these regulations.

"The club would like to place on record its thanks to the authorities, Wigan Warriors and its supporters for supporting the investigation.

"We look forward to focusing on the 2025 season ahead and trust that supporters will enjoy another fantastic season safely for the enjoyment of all."
