LEIGH boss Adrian Lam looks to run the rule over other members of his first team squad on Sunday when Rochdale Hornets provide the opposition for Leigh Reserves at Leigh Miners Rangers’ Twist Lane ground.
The game also doubles as a testimonial for Hornets’ former Leigh favourite, Gregg McNally who played 176 times in two spells for the one-time Centurions.
The game kicks-off at 2pm and admission is £10 for adults and £5 for children 16 and under.
“A lot of the players not in the 17 (at St Helens) will be playing in this game,” added Lam.
“Some of those players are very close to being picked in the 17 so this will give them an opportunity to shine.
*Leigh Leopards open their Women’s North Championship campaign at Oulton Raidettes on Sunday, boosted by a 32-10 friendly win at Salford last weekend.
Mairead Quinn, Charlotte Melvin, Gabi Leigh (2), Grace Hill and Freya Turner scored tries. Kirsty Millington (2) and Clare Collins kicked the goals.
