HAVING read Helen Mead’s opinion piece about waste recycling in last week’s Journal, I am pretty certain there are errors regarding what can and can’t be recycled in the Wigan borough.
It states that yoghurt and Tetra Pak cartons can’t be recycled.
This is simply not true for our borough – the new bin collection schedule leaflet published by Wigan Council clearly shows photographs of yoghurt pots and drinks cartons as recyclable items.
Helen also states that window envelopes and black plastic food trays cannot be recycled.
I think these might be recyclable too.
