AS chairman of Leigh Royal British Legion I wish to say a heartfelt thanks to the town’s people for their kindness in the donations given towards the Poppy Appeal.
For such a small town it is always so generous.
The amount raised this year was £21,000.
Many thanks also to my Poppy Appeal organiser Barbara, her son and the rest of the team who gave up their time to help.
I would also like to welcome a few new helpers on board for future appeals.
